Ellen has 10 years of experience, working in local government and community organisations, she has successfully managed a variety of projects from the strategy and funding stage. She loves to observe the positive transformation community projects can make to reality. She enjoys building relationships and working on projects that create outcomes with real meaning and value. She injects the unexpected into projects by thinking creatively and outside of the box. She can solve complex problems, perceive critical connections and has a design sensibility that ensures quality results. She brings teams together and aligns them on a shared goal so they can collaboratively make great happen. She is truly passionate about making positive change in the world.

Ben Mitchell-Anyon of award-winning Patchwork Architecture is a key design partner in our consulting practice. With a distinctive aesthetic sensibility and practical design expertise, Ben delivers innovative architectural solutions that deeply resonate with local contexts. His approach transforms spaces by creating designs that are not just visually compelling, but also fundamentally responsive to their environment. Through our collaborative process, we develop projects that authentically reflect the character and needs of each unique location.

Brad Dobson
blac landscape Architecture

Brad Dobson is Registered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with 11+ years experience. Paper Road worked with Blac on developing a road map for regeneration for four South Taranaki towns, alongside the South Taranaki District Council and their communities. This work resulted in the beginnings of regional regeneration that incorporates new shared pathways, planting projects, streetscape upgrades and placemaking.

Brad provides invaluable knowledge in strategic design, engagement and project navigation.

Emma Morris

Nature working

Emma is the co-director of Nature Working Ltd, a consultancy focused on social and ecological regeneration. With a background in Urban Planning and training from the Regenesis Institute, her work is deeply rooted in regenerative principles that emphasise the interconnectedness of people, place, and environment. Over the past ten years, she has led a range of impactful projects, including co-founding a regenerative education and community land initiative in Whanganui, ‘The Learning Environment’, where she serves as the Education and Strategic Coordinator. Emma supported Ellen Young and the Town Centre Regeneration Team of Whanganui District Council in coordinating the Innovating Streets for People Placemaking project. Skilled in project planning, strategy, facilitation, placemaking, and community development, Emma is committed to creating holistic solutions that nurture both community and the natural world.
